Podlasie Opera and Philharmonic – European Art Centre in Białystok

The Podlasie Opera and Philharmonic is the largest cultural institution in north-eastern Poland and has long shaped musical life in the region and across the country. Known for a varied repertoire of symphonic, operatic, chamber and contemporary works, it is synonymous with artistic excellence and music education.

The Podlasie Opera and Philharmonic organises numerous concerts, festivals and educational events, promoting Polish culture internationally. Its ensemble of outstanding musicians and teachers has worked with many acclaimed artists and made numerous recordings, including works by contemporary Polish composers.

Our cooperation with the Podlasie Opera and Philharmonic makes joint artistic and educational projects possible, contributing significantly to the promotion of Polish music and to the quality of the events organised by Fundacja Via Sonoria.

Trio Lontano logo

Trio Lontano

Trio Lontano, a piano trio founded in 2009, is an acclaimed chamber ensemble that has won wide recognition in Poland and abroad. Its members are outstanding musicians: Anna Kamińska (piano), Paweł Polak (violin) and Grzegorz Vytlacil (cello). Graduates of Polish music academies, they refined their skills under such masters as R. Baldini, M. Keser and L. Stawarz.

The trio appears at prestigious festivals and concerts, including Chamber Music Session in Kyiv, the Forum Musicum Festival in Wrocław and numerous concert series in Poland. Its repertoire spans works from different eras, with particular emphasis on Polish chamber music – from Fryderyk Chopin and Ignacy Dobrzyński to Ludomir Różycki and Grzegorz Fitelberg.

The ensemble actively promotes Poland’s musical heritage through concerts and educational projects. Its debut album, released in 2017, was praised by music lovers and critics alike. Thanks to its professionalism and artistic passion, Trio Lontano has become one of Fundacja Via Sonoria’s most important partners, working with us to promote Polish music at home and abroad.

The Foundation’s partner in the project ‘Polska premiera fonograficzna 24 Preludiów M. Weinberga’ (2026) – the first complete recording by a Polish performer of the 24 Preludes for solo cello by Mieczysław Weinberg, performed by Zuzanna Sosnowska.

Co-financed by the Minister of Culture and National Heritage from the Culture Promotion Fund – a state special-purpose fund – under the ‘Muzyczny ślad’ (Musical Trace) programme run by the National Institute of Music and Dance.

The Foundation’s partner in the project ‘Polska premiera fonograficzna 24 Preludiów M. Weinberga’ (the first Polish recording of M. Weinberg’s 24 Preludes, 2026). The National Institute of Music and Dance – a state cultural institution reporting to the Minister of Culture and National Heritage – runs the ‘Muzyczny ślad’ programme under which the recording was co-financed.

The Marshal’s Office of the Podlaskie Voivodeship has long supported Fundacja Via Sonoria’s work in developing music education and promoting young talent.

Thanks to the support of the Podlaskie Voivodeship, both the 4th Podlasie Violin Competition in 2025 and the 5th Podlasie Violin Competition in 2026 could take place. Both events had a regional and national reach, bringing together young musicians, teachers and members of the artistic community.

Our cooperation with the regional government of the Podlaskie Voivodeship helps develop musical culture in the region and creates opportunities for young violinists to present their talent.

Tansman Trio

Tansman Trio

Tansman Trio is a string trio formed by three outstanding young instrumentalists: Roksana Kwaśnikowska (violin), Agnieszka Podłucka (viola) and Zuzanna Sosnowska (cello). Holders of scholarships from the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage programmes ‘Muzyczny ślad’ and ‘Scena Muzyki Polskiej’, they perform in Poland’s leading concert halls (including the Warsaw Philharmonic, the National Forum of Music (NFM), the concert hall of the Polish National Radio Symphony Orchestra (NOSPR), the Szczecin Philharmonic and the Polish Baltic Philharmonic) and abroad (including Heidelberger Frühling).

The ensemble has won prizes at the ‘Razem w przyszłość’ Competition of the Silesia Sonans Foundation, the Tiziano Rossetti International Competition and the Szczecin Classic Festival. In December 2023 it released its debut album Tansman Trio plays Tansman, featuring first recordings of chamber works by Alexandre Tansman (String Trio No. 2, Serenade No. 2, Suite-Divertissement; with Tomasz Ritter at the piano). The album received a Diapason d’Or, and in 2024 the ensemble won a Muzyczne Orły award in the chamber ensemble category.

The trio brings together three strong personalities whose playing stands out for its precision, sensitivity and stage presence. Discovering and championing Tansman’s chamber music has become the ensemble’s hallmark and artistic mission.
