Night of Museums in Opole with Trio Lontano
On Saturday 17 May 2025, as part of Poland’s nationwide Night of Museums, Fundacja Via Sonoria and Trio Lontano gave a special chamber concert at the Diocesan Museum in Opole.
The evening, entitled “Music Wrapped in Art. Polish Chamber Music Through the Centuries”, was a real feast for music and art lovers. The programme featured works by Franciszek Lessel, Grzegorz Fitelberg and Andrzej Panufnik – composers whose music is rarely heard in concert but deserves wider recognition.
The concert at the Opole museum was not only a meeting of music and history but also a deliberate effort by the Foundation and Trio Lontano to promote and develop Polish chamber music. Together we pursue initiatives that revive the memory of outstanding, often forgotten composers and create new spaces for their works.
